Christmas Parades in Middle Georgia 2017

One of the things I enjoy about living in Middle Georgia is all the Christmas Parades we have each year, and they are all so unique!  Here are the ones I found along with information from their website or facebook page.  Please feel free to add the ones I miss.

December 1st

Cochran (7:00 – 9:00pm)

The Cochran-Bleckley Chamber of Commerce presents the Lighted Christmas Parade every year on the first Friday of December.

December 2nd

Warner Robins (10:00am – 12:oopm)

In celebration of the 60th anniversary of the Robins Regional Christmas Parade, we’re turning back the clock to the year of our first parade – 1957. The theme for the 2017 Robins Regional Christmas Parade is “Come Fly with Me”. Celebrating the best of the era that marked our beginnings is our most-fitting grand marshal for this year’s parade, the Museum of Aviation. Parade spectators can expect to see late 50s – early 60s era themed decor, attire, and a nod to our military in celebration of this year’s event. The parade will begin at Commercial Circle on South Davis Drive at 10:00 am and end at the intersection of Houston Road and Watson Boulevard.

Roberta (12:00 – 4:30pm)

Roberta Christmas Celebration is always well attended and we have a truly great time in our community! This years event is scheduled for the first Saturday in December-December 2, 2017.  Again craft and varied vendors will be invited and encouraged to come offering beautiful one of a kind gifts beginning at noon until 4:30 pm. At 4:30 our traditional Christmas Parade of floats, businesses, and organizations will begin staged and ready to roll providing excitement. Be assured after the parade you and your children will have fun building a snowman…Southern Style.

Byron (1:00 – 2:30pm)

Join us for Byron’s 2017 Let It Snow Christmas Parade!

Dublin (2:00 – 4:00pm)

Kick off the holiday season with The Exchange Club of Dublin’s Christmas Parade. Stretching over a mile through the Bellevue and Downtown Historic Districts, the Christmas Parade adds a touch of wonder and delight!  The children will be breathless with anticipation waiting for Santa to make his appearance, but there will be plenty of magical floats animated with Christmas joy heading down Jackson Street beginning at 2 PM on December 2nd! Watch their eyes fill with glee as handfuls of candy and Christmas cheer are tossed their way!

Perry (4:00 – 7:00pm)

“A Very Perry Christmas” Parade

Hawkinsville (6:00pm)

“A Storybook Christmas” Parade

Milledgeville (6:00 – 7:30pm)

The 2017 Christmas Parade presented by the Exchange Club of Milledgeville will be held Saturday, December 2nd, at 6:00pm. Please join us and all of the parade participants for a “Christmas Around the World” night. And don’t forget, Santa will be there!  Please look on the Exchange Club’s Facebook page for all updates related to the parade

Fort Valley (5:00 – 9:00pm)

Tinsel Town in the Valley is a holiday event for the whole family. We will be offering pictures with Santa downtown in the Gazebo, visits to Mrs. Santa’s Workshop where you can make Christmas Ornaments, Horse and Carriage Rides through the city, vendors and Christmas music everywhere.  It will begin promptly following the Fort Valley Christmas Parade.  We will be also showing “The Polar Express” in Festival Park at 8 PM.

Centerville (7:00pm)

Come join the City of Centerville’s 8th Annual Lighted Christmas Parade at 7 p.m. on December 2rd. The parade will be a fun, family-friendly evening so make sure to bring your whole family for this can’t-miss event of the Christmas Season.

December 3rd

Macon (3:00 – 5:00pm)

Main Street Macon invites the community to the annual Main Street Macon Christmas Parade on Sunday, December 3 from 3pm to 5pm!

This year’s theme is Macon Merry. The holiday season is full of merriment and fellowship and this theme reflects the sense of community Christmas often brings.

Join us on Sunday, December 3 from 3pm to 5pm for merriment and family-friendly fun in downtown Macon. The parade circles Cherry and Mulberry Streets in downtown Macon. Public parking is available.

December 7th

Forsyth (7:00pm)

Every year parade-goers line the streets of downtown Forsyth to partake in the tradition of waving to neighbors, marvel at the beautifully decorated floats, witness the ceremonial lighting of the giant Christmas tree and of course meet Mr. & Mrs. Claus!  This year’s theme is “Songs of Christmas.”

December 12th

Gray (7:00 – 8:00pm)

Please join us for our 17th annual lighted Christmas Parade. The parade will begin at Ingles and travel west down to Gray feed and seed. Our theme this year is “A Dr. Seuss Christmas” and we look forward to seeing all of the amazing floats. As always the proceeds from this event go towards buying Christmas for children and nursing home patients that would not get it otherwise. We look forward to seeing you there!!
