FPD’s Center for Discovery Offers a Range of Opportunities for Kids and Adults

to Learn and Explore After School

Launched in 2014, FPD’s Center for Discovery has been helping students and adults discover new hobbies, talents, and skills after school and during the summer for the past two years. The programs offered allow participants to chose from a wide range of options so they can find just the right class to help them grow their unique gifts, build their confidence, and learn new skills.

“We are very excited about the opportunities this fall,” said Elizabeth Leslein, Director of the Center for Discovery. “Parents have told us how much they love the variety we offer so no matter what area their child has an interest, we have a class that can match that interest.”

The upcoming fall season begins in August with options in:

  • Dinosaur Digging
  • Robotics
  • Little Ladies Club
  • Crazy 8s Math Club
  • Chess
  • Football & Cheerleading
  • Soccer
  • Volleyball
  • Gymnastics
  • Tennis
  • Yoga for Kids
  • Yoga for Adults
  • Private Music & Voice Lessons for Kids
  • Private Music & Voice Lessons for Adults
  • Christmas Art Workshops
  • Photography Workshop for Adults

Center for Discovery classes are available for students in pre-K all the way to adults. All classes are taught on the campus of First Presbyterian Day School and are open to the community. Full class details and registration are available online at
