Summer Reading Program Kick-Off at all Houston County Libraries

Summer is coming which means Summer Reading Programs!  My boys love these, and I love anything that encourages them to read.  Beginning on May 26th, the Centerville, Nola Brantley, and Perry Libraries are all having a Kick-Off Party with special guests.

  • Centerville Library will host its Kick-Off Party on May 28th from 4:00 – 8:00pm.  They will have games, coloring, and face painting.
  • The Nola Brantley Library will have several special guests for their Kick-Off Bash – Batman, Batgirl, Spiderman, and Mrs. Incredible.  Their event will be on May 26th from 10:00am – noon.
  • The Perry Library is encouraging kids to wear their costumes to their party on May 26th from 5:00 – 7:00pm.  They will have two mystery guests, and here are the hints they gave online.  1) He has the coolest gadgets.  2) She fell in love with a beast.

By the way, for those of you who don’t know, the Summer Reading Program’s theme this summer is action heroes – Every Hero Has a Story.  Don’t forget to sign your kids up for the Reading Program while you are there.
