Free Sports Clinics – hosted by Charles Johnson of the Carolina Panthers

Charles Johnson, #95 on the South Carolina Panthers Football team, is offering FREE Sports Clinics to kids (1st – 12th grades) in Middle Georgia on June 19th and 20th.  Each clinic will focus on a particular sport – basketball, football, cheer, tennis, or dance.  In addition to local volunteers, there will be professional athletes working with the kids.

He is doing the camps in Hawkinsville because he graduated from Hawkinsville High School in 2003.  He went on to play for the University of Georgia, and then signed with the Carolina Panthers in 2007.  ”The goal of the weekend is to expose area youth from Bibb, Bleckley, Dodge, Houston, Macon, Pulaski and Telfair counties to the professional and collegiate athletes in hopes that they too will aspire to achieve to their fullest potential and give back to the community as well.”  Please note, it is not limited to these counties.
