Planes and Trains at the Museum of Aviation
The Museum of Aviation will be hosting “Planes and Trains” during Thanksgiving week. This event will be a display of model trains set-up by the Middle Georgia Model Railroad Club. I can already hear my 4 year old saying, “Wow!” as he just stands and stares at the trains going around and around the tracks. According to Ed Lusk, the president of the club, “Our club continues to make Plans and Trains an even larger display each year and 2014 will be no exception in our continuing effort to make this the largest model railroad event in Middle Georgia.”
According to the Museum’s website the Century of Flight Building will be the site of large operating layouts and other railroad related exhibits. The club will have a HO-scale train display that will feature up to 9 trains running continuously on 3 main lines through landscape scenes with miniature buildings, cars, bridges, rivers, buildings and an airport” and there will be many more trains running – including Thomas and a Circus Landscape.
